The key material for the production of functional fabrics and film at Cathay Consolidated is Thermal Plastic Urethane, which is environmental friendly, non-toxic, recyclable and degradable.
The Company is located at Yilan, a beautiful scenic place with value for environmental protection. The pollution control plan has been in place at the initial stage of construction of the plant and unfolded alongside the progress of construction. For this reason, we chose to use only environmental friendly materials, discharge no water pollutants in the production process, and procured the high-price regenerative thermal oxidizer for the treatment of gaseous wastes and heat recycling. We also continue our work in carbon reduction. For mitigating the burden of the environment, Cathay Consolidated used diesel in lieu of heavy oil as the fuel for boilers before it became mandatory under the regulation of Environmental Protection Administration.
This helps to reduce the discharge of sulfur content contained in the exhaust even through diesel is much more expensive than heavy oil. In addition, dust collection filter has also been installed at the rear part of the boilers to remove the emission of PM 2.5.
